My final night in Germany was spent in Stuttgart, MC’in for DJ Tease @ We Love Bass.
Was a very fun night indeed @ Club Bounce which used to be a brothel…in fact its located in Stuttgarts redlight district which is literally one street an and ally, lol. So wish my camera wasnt acting up (again) was alot of pictures i wanted to take (quite a few hot guys as well, oh hello) however i will have to make do with the memories being etched on my brain for a long time! Big up to everyone that came down was dope to see so many familiar faces, can’t believe i remembered most of you too, cause last time i was here we was D Runk!! Massive thanks to Tease for getting me over here again and of course my partner in crime the lovely Tina.
We’re doing the traditional Beerfest trip this afternoon, for foot high beers, massive German sausages and rollercoaster rides…
Bring it on!
Was a dope day in this familiar city, spaced out but hanging with friends Matt Flores and the lovely Tina talking about films, music and passing trees (more…)
Im sat back stage whilst Enter are sound-checking my favourite song Juggernaut, i keep waking up singing this bitch seriously the choon is the shizzle! Has also been first day with the Shikari crew after our riot bonding sesh in Brussels, has been some jokes this afternoon i tell thee.Anyways here goes tour diary day 7, which by the way was another day off here in the bountiful Bochum!
After an amazing day n night in Brussels (where im sure the ankle first began to hurt) we headed on over the border to Bochum, which we all thought was in Poland but is actually in Germany, go figure genius’s! On route we watched Chopper as we finally had the dvd player working, all it took was a little slap and a poke from Timmy two dinners, he the man!
So Bochum….is interesting, our first experience of a Formula One hotel aka swingers town! This hotel was my worst nightmare for real, bunk beds, communal toilets (VD’S) and showers (verruca’s), with red and green lights over head…like that was suppose to be cute, in my first 30 mins in the hotel i seen 4 men roaming the corridor in their undies, very tight white undies and they weren’t even fit!! (more…)
Intros can make or break a live show, The Qemists have been starting with the smasher Stompbox for all their live shows it works a treat however myself and Leon are thinking this might be a better sing along to kick of the live proceedings….THANK YOU BAKED POTATO!
So i don’t know how many of you know who Enter Shikari are but we’re on the support slot of their tour round Europe. Last night was our 2nd gig with them, the crowd was amazing and already i am very much enjoying being backstage surrounded by half naked 23 year olds, as i keep twittering!
So last night our first gig with the Shikari boys (seem like lovely chaps) in Paris the city of love…ehem i’ve had my heart broken here and broken someone elses, tis funny how i still refer to it as such! It was one of my favourite cities for quite a long time but our 40 hours here have changed that, sorry Paris.
What is it with 19-21 year olds chatting me up recently? Do i look that young? Ok maybe in this picture i do, Im not complaining just asking seriously what is up with that? (more…)
The gig tonight was hell of good, bit of a weird one the crowd were all 16 or under…which definately put a kibosh on the crowd socializing, to be honest the dudes weren’t really that hot (they were 16 come on!) but if i was a dude and 16 the girl in the New Era would have got it…. (more…)
Im soooo excited, couldn’t sleep this morning, but then what was the point. Pick up was at 4am and as soon as the splitter arrived I shot-gunned the back seat cot….well I was the only one who hadn’t slept!! (more…)
Probably the best themed song for the day so far. Yes we are in Antwerp and about to kick off our two weeks on the Enter Shikari support. So please enjoy the new single from the headliners taken from their brand new album Common Dreads, this is ‘Antwerpen‘ which if you like you can download for free at their website!!
Im the only one still awake at Qemist HQ, there’s an hour before the bus comes to pick us up for our two week road trip across Europe. Im mad excited and also hoping to make most of cot in back of splitter hence the no sleeping (thanks Mr Carne!). All sorts of things running through my head…did i pack enough knickers, should i have brought my skirt, will he bother like i did to make the 5 hour round trip, should i shave my hair off and why have i only brought clothes that make me look like a teenage boy?! Nothing major i suppose just last minute jitters…all melts away when i think of all the fun we’re gonna have on stage. Yay Antwerp here we come
Back down the road i go to Brighton this week for a reunion with the family aka The Qemists. We’re back on tour across Europe from the 18th – 30th of April. Supporting Enter Shikari most of the way but our first two gigs this weekend are solo, on a little warm up flex! We are most definately in a city near you if your in the European ends this April, full details are up on the blog calender, if your in Antwerp or Amsterdam this weekend and wanna rock out check us out at… (more…)
How long does it take me to make a video nowadays? Cultronica happened way back in December 08, the month where my feet never touched the ground. It was a 2 day festival in a quiet little town called Braganca featuring artists from all over Portugal. I had a mad fun that weekend, even if i was the only female act, it was freezing cold and i didn’t speak any Portuguese, ha ha the 1 euro shots and amazing talent made up for it all! Big massive respect to Luis for the invite, DJ Oder for the dubplates and all the rest of the fellas that looked after me so well, hope you enjoy what i did in this little film
My first time at Ape ( i know don’t ask) and ill tell you what it wasnt to bad at all. The Apollo Manchester, is a wicked old skool venue and running about behind stage with Fierce looking for alcohol and reminiscing in between sets in various dressing rooms or where ever was way to much fun. (more…)
Rock the fook out people its the glorious weekend, 7 days since i broke my 9 month drought and 30 days til The Qemists Live begin our support slot on the Enter Shikari European tour. I think this song for the day is more than appropriate cause i am really sorry if your not a winner!
Peace n Love… The Jenna Ral G
Just one of the many tracks written last year at the Biasonic laboratories with Zed Bias. Just found this little video we made for it in my backgarden. It’s a short version of the track which may or may not come out on Development this year…watch this space for more info!

No time to write to much to take in, miss my camera but the Iphone is capturing the moments nicely!
We’re staying in Shibuya right on top of the train station and the infamous scramble crossing which i can see from my bedroom….sick! Is amazing how no one except the foreigners bump into each other while crossing
Making the most with my Iphone camera @ Jenna Ration G
As March creeps up bringing with it the release of The Qemists single On The Run (23.03.09) the press machine goes into action. The track has already had alot of love from my former home 1Xtra, thanks to Mistajam with a bit more on the way next week. Tune in from 7pm Monday to find out more… Shouts to Coxy for also giving it a spin on Radio 1 whilst covering for Jo Wiley and props have to stay with the Beeb for tomorrows TV slot! The Qemists (interview and On The Run video) will be appearing on BBC 2 Sound with Annie Mac and Grimmy this Saturday @ 1.30pm, perfect hangover viewing…Now i know you’ve already seen the video, however like me you might be curious as to what their gonna say?
More madness from the Qemists rolling stone @ Jenna Ration G
Ok so there’s a bit of a backlog with my video making from last years 30 days around the world gigging expedition. It all started in South America at the beginning of December, next was Croatia, Austria then Portugal finally landing in Australia for the Christmas and the New Year! (more…)
