Pulled out Jamiroquais Return Of The Space Cowboy from the CD rack this week and it hasn’t left my stereo since, such perfect music for the glorious weather and it still sounds more than relevant 17 years after its release. Definately my favourite album from Jay Kay and the lads i’d forgotten just how amazing some of the songs are; Half The Man, Mr Moon & Morning Glory!! Do not play these when your alone with me if you dont want me to jump your bones! Far to early (in the UK) for any rumpy pumpy so hows about this little beauty instead, enjoy
Now some of you will cringe at this advert from Yeo Valley, the rest will realize its simplistic genius. I know im not the only one who bridged the gap between hip-hop and this milks name whilst browsing the dairy isle with the munchies. Ridiculous props for the Owl swagger, i need this as a gif, however what i don’t need is a copy of this on Itunes (available now, tut tut).
60,000 people, 400 acts in just one day. The Belgians don’t do things by half! Laundry Day at the beginning of September was the perfect way to kick off a month of adventures, all thanks to the terrific two Murdock & Netsky for getting me over there again, was a pleasure and always a joy!
Been quite quiet on the old blog front for a few weeks, my aplogies for anyone thats bothered. The reason for my absence has been down to being absorbed in song writing mode, its been emotional but so much fun locked in my front room with only an internet connection, garageband and a pen and pad! So many people have been sending me awesome backing tracks to work with and im well excited about getting them all finished and out there for you all to hear. The song writing process has also dragged up some absoulutely classic albums for inspiration, today im all over Thin Lizzy like a rash Jimmy The Weed, Randolphs Tango, Don’t Believe A Word, Whiskey in the Jar and this one Still In Love With You from the Live & Dangerous album, the guitar section is so beautiful im actually crying….
A little piece of heartache for the weekend for those that had to spend it alone, this might sound grim but tunes like this make my insides warm as the emotion churns them inside out… (more…)
