This might sound weird but i’ve done so many random studio sessions this year that i forget what tracks are out there getting played! When i say random i mean sporadic as in, on my rare days off admist all the travelling and touring with the lovely Qemists from Feb-Sep i ended up at someones studio that i know writing and recording. One of these sessions was with my long time homie Zedios Bizzle way back in erm June, i think

Kano one of the UK’s best mc’s in my books is set to release a new album next year featuring some pretty interesting production credits from Hot-Chip, Radio Clit and Boyz Noize…its quite an exciting project for this young fella from London, his fourth album! Blatent self promotion!
Twitter mate @IamFordy asked the other day if i had any new music on the go that he hadn’t heard…me thinks he doesn’t read my blog, as of course i’ve been posting my studio sessions and releases as and when they’ve happened. Tut tut Fordy….i shouldn’t need to tell you that i have actually been working on a non dnb album since last September and hope to preview some finished tracks from those sessions at Catch 22 & Zed Bias very soon. Blu Mar Ten – If i could tell you
I dont know why all of a sudden im obsessed by this mans music but i am. Really like his choice of film footage for his youtube videos, brilliant break from the norm of dnb track visuals. A while back on me facebook i got a friend request from a dude asking about the lyrics to ‘Let me change your mind‘. The message was from a DJ whose girl pals were requesting it whenever he played and wanted to know what the hell the song Zed Bias and myself made was all about…now i don’t really like to divulge to much of the reasons behind my song lyrics but i don’t mind posting them up for those that wanna make up there own interpretation! True Ingredients – Space n Time
Last year i was drunk outside Yoyo’s in Nottinghill, such a rare occasion i remember it like it was yesterday…. A young man looking like the love child Ludacris & Jamie Rutter walked up to me with an extrodainary gift, a pair of sunglasses containing his band True Ingredients brand new album ‘Prepare & Assemble’. I do believe it was a worlds first (not me getting free sh*t), an album on a pair of sunglasses…’Impressive’ they quoted me ‘but hang on’ i declared when unwrapping the shades which looked very plain to contain an album ‘where exactly is the music’. Mr Milk soon put me straight, by going online typing in the website and code on the side of the sunnies i could download their album for free, genius and keeps me thinking about them when tanning by pool, classy! First single is looking set to drop this spring and im definately feeling the Arrested Development/Fugees/City High/Black Eyed Peas (before Fergie) crossover appeal this band have, with such an international set up and great sound i hope to be seeing alot more of this group in 2009.

A long time ago i wrote a tune with the Brighton dnb collective The Qemists, thanks to a Ninja Tune hook up. Finally their album ‘Join The Q‘ is finished and set for release this year featuring Wiley, Beardyman, Zoe Devlin, Mike Patton and little old me plus some banging beats n bass! First single is gonna be our collab ‘On the run‘, im mad excited as not only is there gonna be a video for the track (you know i loves the camera!!) but i”ll also be starting to rehearse down n Brighton with the Qemists alongside MC ID as part of their live show in a few weeks! After seeing Pendulum tear it up @ Origin in Perth im really keen to see how this live set up will work out. Im learning lyrics etc for all singing parts on the album as i type, its so much fun! Will keep you posted with gig dates which are coming up as soon as February, also theres rumours of a Japan tour in March, all dates will be listed on Events section in sidebar. Lily reckons ‘Everybody’s At It’
Speak for yourself young lady. The princess of UK pop, Lily Allen and the voice of a Jennaration is back with a new single from her second album. Tracks have already been up on her myspace but today we got the full first finished release. An interesting ditty ode to the fact that every body is apparently on it..i think she was or had been around the time of the vocal session…Nothing surprising really seeing as that is the way to sell records these days, plus she writes autobiographically so what else can be expected. For me its not as catchy as her old hits, but the press are calling it an album about integrity so its sure to go straight to the top of the charts for chrimbo, expect to hear it at all your offices do’s…cringing at thought of sly nose tap dance moves around the handbags! Please drop kick me if you see me dancing to this at any festive parties…in fact please drop kick me if you see me going to any parties that would play this.
