And i dont mean to a movie! OOoooh it only took a year to make but this video was so worth the wait, witness men turn to women, flutes as weapons, Huw Stephens and me acting aggy (once again) and being dragged out of a club in this video for Fray from Nerm & D-Code ft Orifice Vulgatron (Foreign Beggars).
Been quite quiet on the old blog front for a few weeks, my aplogies for anyone thats bothered. The reason for my absence has been down to being absorbed in song writing mode, its been emotional but so much fun locked in my front room with only an internet connection, garageband and a pen and pad! So many people have been sending me awesome backing tracks to work with and im well excited about getting them all finished and out there for you all to hear. The song writing process has also dragged up some absoulutely classic albums for inspiration, today im all over Thin Lizzy like a rash Jimmy The Weed, Randolphs Tango, Don’t Believe A Word, Whiskey in the Jar and this one Still In Love With You from the Live & Dangerous album, the guitar section is so beautiful im actually crying….
Haven’t done this in a while, so back in full effect its the Song For The Day! Get your piano power rangers capes on for Can – Mighty Girl a song i’ve been waking up to this every morning this week, its been an instrumental mantra which ladies (and gents if your man enough) you can have to, lol enjoy!
Ever since my tshirt sleeves were ripped off by the lead singers teeth last year in Tokyo i have been a keen fan of the Cancer Bats . The video to Pnuemonia Hawk sealed the deal thanks to the maple syrup drinking plaid shirt wearing, lumberjack styles of the hunky drummer. So naturally im ecstatic about the new album Bears, Mayors, Scraps & Bones but a little pissed their not playing in Manchesterwhilst over in the UK promoting said new release, London is not the epi centre of the UK you know! Anyhoo in honor of their new album, selective UK dates and the pipe smoking, heartthrob of a drummer i thought i’d post their cover of The Beastie BoysSabotage which was released back in March, enjoy!
Last Sunday, still down in London, Vibe bar was the place to be on Brick Lane…well it was if you were making an appearance in Nerm & D-Codes video for their hardcore track Fray longside the marvelously named Orfice Vulgatron. (more…)
Kano one of the UK’s best mc’s in my books is set to release a new album next year featuring some pretty interesting production credits from Hot-Chip, Radio Clit and Boyz Noize…its quite an exciting project for this young fella from London, his fourth album! However after watching this video (on Miss Fiddys Blog) i think ill save my personal giddyness for next the single… (more…)
I don’t know why but i am obsessed by zombies, not in the way i would have a latex mask in my house or a copy of Evil Dead, ewww NO! However i do have a fondness for the brain dead eaters of living flesh, maybe its cause their the only bad guys i could out run, realistically. (more…)

These pleasant looking chaps were on before us atSummer Sonicin Tokyo & Osaka and rocked the fook out in tru metal form….i mean just check the press pick, beards, dreads and tats. The Qemists(me included) looked like Aloha From Hellin comparison! Blondie aka Ivan the lead singer is a sweetheart, even though his facial tattoo will have you believe he’s a murderer…he also dropped the scariest chat up line i’ve ever heard… (more…)

Rock the fook out people its the glorious weekend, 7 days since i broke my 9 month drought and 30 days til The Qemists Live begin our support slot on the Enter Shikari European tour. I think this song for the day is more than appropriate cause i am really sorry if your not a winner!
OMG its official, The Qemists wil be supportting Enter Shikari in April during their European tour. We’re hitting up France, Belguim, Austria, Germany and some other country i have never heard of! Woop woop, rock n roll baby…maybe i’ll get my rock god husband a little sooner than i expected, lmao! All joking aside though im really excited, this band were the best thing i got from my last relationship and they are f**king killer on stage, their music’s definately not for the faint hearted. Really think we’re all gonna learn an awful lot out there…tee hee, as well as get some sick tour scars and stories lol!
All confirmed dates are up now on the events calender @ Jenna Ration G
I just found this at mixmag.net, dam Red Fang are pretty dope! Now I know its not very forward thinking of me but when i hear music like this played by scruffy men with big beards….i know i could be quite a happy woman, barefoot and pregnant up in the hills some where married to one, as long as he played a mean guitar!
NB. Why is it always the dude most likely to pull (off looks alone) that’s themost disgusting in a band, throwing up on the table…jus for the video or is that a regular thang… ugh!
Yay its finally here your first sneaky peek at The Qemist live show which kicks off in Feb. Live vibe video for the single out in March by the uber talented Nathan Seabrook.
