Last night was a celebration of many things but most importantly it was the hometown launch for DRS’s album ‘I dont usually like MCs but’. My hometown, our Manchester came out in full force local artists old & new delivering their homegrown talents, wearing homegrown labels! Im not gonna lie im still drunk but not black out drunk i remember having an awesome time last night with some pretty awesome people. Big Up Del and all the Estate Recordings Crew, Marcus and the Soulution family, Band on the Wall and all that partied hard within her!
Theres not much to say but play this one loud. Shouts to Headliner for the heads up its huge!
Daddy Skitz, Rodney P, Darrison, Enging-Earz and Solo all together on an absolute banger! Salute underground UK music scene and enjoy this one at full volume
So yesterday saw the release of Flood of Emotions from myself and D1 on DubPolice, if you like go buy it and then tell your friends to do the same. If you havent heard it….erm well your a little late but no worries, why dont you sit back relax and check out the video
I love me an action movie, Jason Statham & Ben Foster so hallelujah that today The Mechanic is released! Funnily i havent seen it yet (im usually two steps ahead me hearties) however it has to be awesome regardless of the run of the mill trailer (above). Statham has paid his dues in this genre not one film has disappointed action wise though script, storyline and casting have never all hit as hard as he can however The Mechanic (terrible name) has to be his first all rounder, right? Ben Foster who is not known for appearing in shitty movies and Donald Sutherland who despite Virus is still a bad man make up a pretty strong cast! Looking forward to my first cinema visit in a while to check this out over the weekend…anyone with me, i have no shame going alone!
Whoever made this is in my top ten favourite people right now, Im loving being a big black singing mama in this official video for mine and Netskys collab, Moving with You!

Thank you to Fatima and the Eglo records camp for this little beauty of a video for the track ‘Soul Glo’ taken from the Mindtravelling EP about to drop on the 22nd. Aprils nearly here and bringing with it showers, sun (please) and the release of Roskas‘ album ‘Roska’. My brother from another mother Mr Miller showed me the album promo video yesterday created by the incredibly talented Monsta Art, literally comic genius, in fact if you don’t laugh at the birds Squark then i think you might be a bit dead inside.
A while back on me facebook i got a friend request from a dude asking about the lyrics to ‘Let me change your mind‘. The message was from a DJ whose girl pals were requesting it whenever he played and wanted to know what the hell the song Zed Bias and myself made was all about…now i don’t really like to divulge to much of the reasons behind my song lyrics but i don’t mind posting them up for those that wanna make up there own interpretation! (more…)
Passed thru YoYo’s last night (I know I’m sad get over it!) to catch a friends set. Wasn’t gonna stay long but of course that didn’t happen, which was fun cause I met a whole heap of people and encountered a world first! Smokin outside the club Jamal, a tall ludacris lookalike in a safety pin clad leather jacket (dope!), introduced himself to me. Promoting his band True Ingredients and their debut album Prepare and Assemble he presented me with a gift, the worlds first album released on a pair of shades!!! Unfortunately there wasn’t a built in mp3 player on the specks, just a code on the arm which u can enter online for a free download…fortunately their not a bad pair of shades and I got to pick from a range of colours. Haven’t downloaded music yet but I hope it’s as impressive as the sales pitch!

November 10th a date for your diary, sees the first release on Development Music from yours truely and the mighty Zed Bias. Let me Change Your Mind is the flip to Sound of Love which features DRS & Cherie Mathieson a must for all you soul heads and rare vinyl lovers. Passed through the Development club night on Friday night to meet the crew thats putting out the track and experience the night and a brand new club Spektrum (upstairs of Sankeys with its own entrance and Watergate styled disco ceiling!). Was loads of fun, the crowd was amazing, the Development lads were lovely and its great to be working with such music lovers, tunes all night were HEAVY, shouts to Glenn Underground for some dirty sounds Did a little PA which was so cool, technically was a nightmare, couldn’t hear myself but apparently i didn’t drop a note which Zed has a bit of footage of just to prove, lol! In the meantime why don’t you check it out for yourself above or at myspace clock up them plays baby
