Last night was a celebration of many things but most importantly it was the hometown launch for DRS’s album ‘I dont usually like MCs but’. My hometown, our Manchester came out in full force local artists old & new delivering their homegrown talents, wearing homegrown labels! Im not gonna lie im still drunk but not black out drunk i remember having an awesome time last night with some pretty awesome people. Big Up Del and all the Estate Recordings Crew, Marcus and the Soulution family, Band on the Wall and all that partied hard within her!
Oh what fun Foo Magazine, Dub Police, myself and all the rest had in Bristol on Sunday, shooting the video to Flood Of Emotion by D1 & me. Yes it was bitterly cold and half of my day was spent getting slapped in the face but all in all it was oh so much fun, huge thanks to everyone involved for the precision excecution and endless amount of jokes…nothing to be repeated here, just a few snaps from a successful sunday ACTION!
Its cold there, probably colder than it is in Manchester right now but i still miss it and all its little surprises
It was a week and a day ago that i left the lovely island of Sardinia, the end to my Sun and Bass bliss. many a thing has happened since then, many fun and wonderful things in fact but its only now, today that im finally shaking my S&B hangover. Back to work i must go, i am not on holiday any longer…oh but for that wonderful week that we all were…big thanks as always to Stefano and crew for the stella shenanigans and gracious hosting, all bar staff and security at Ambra Day, Night and down the beach, you kept us all liquored up nicely
Last Saturday i was in London via Reading performing with The Engine-Earz at the Queen Elizabeth Hall as part of the amazing Raj:Reload. The gig absolutely smashed it with the seated venue turning into what can only be called the Queen Elizabeth Dance Hall once E=E was on stage, lol, alot of fun had by all in attendance on the Southbank for some truely inspiring performances. The party carried on until the wee hours of the morning and the lovely Levant/sequester captured some classic moments from backstage and beyond, simply a dope weekend.
Oh wow what an amazing birthday week, all shimmery and shining like the disco ball i fell asleep watching every night. Even got my appetite back ! To many thank yous seriously and i don’t wanna gush its not in my newly matured character (and i’ve aleady done it to their face xx). Friends new and old, bouncers, cafe owners, ravers, builders and the girls standing in line for the bathroom THANK YOU, i love ya truely madly deeply Now check the visuals! (more…)
Few weekends back i flew over to Germany for the weekend to play at the Feelings Boat Party in Heidelberg… (more…)
So last night our first gig with the Shikari boys (seem like lovely chaps) in Paris the city of love…ehem i’ve had my heart broken here and broken someone elses, tis funny how i still refer to it as such! It was one of my favourite cities for quite a long time but our 40 hours here have changed that, sorry Paris.
Saw the link to this on a Chris Marigolds facebook status, wish i’d have took pics of all the names i saw in the snow last night walking through the first drift in Old Street.
