Blatent self promotion!
Twitter mate @IamFordy asked the other day if i had any new music on the go that he hadn’t heard…me thinks he doesn’t read my blog, as of course i’ve been posting my studio sessions and releases as and when they’ve happened. Tut tut Fordy….i shouldn’t need to tell you that i have actually been working on a non dnb album since last September and hope to preview some finished tracks from those sessions at Catch 22 & Zed Bias very soon. Mum im on TV tomorrow!!
As March creeps up bringing with it the release of The Qemists single On The Run (23.03.09) the press machine goes into action. The track has already had alot of love from my former home 1Xtra, thanks to Mistajam with a bit more on the way next week. Tune in from 7pm Monday to find out more… Shouts to Coxy for also giving it a spin on Radio 1 whilst covering for Jo Wiley and props have to stay with the Beeb for tomorrows TV slot! The Qemists (interview and On The Run video) will be appearing on BBC 2 Sound with Annie Mac and Grimmy this Saturday @ 1.30pm, perfect hangover viewing…Now i know you’ve already seen the video, however like me you might be curious as to what their gonna say?

OK so im probably doing this the wrong way round but im not bothered… Friday saw the final version of the ‘On the run’ video hit the internet… Heres what went on behind the scenes on the day….ok not everything cause im protecting the innocent but still its a fun lil snapshot of our Monday at the transgender safehouse known as The Little Marlborough!!

Promo for The Qemists next single On The Run featuring me (Jenna G! avec une cigarette in me mouth)…saucy but not the best habit kids, so don’t do it! Track listing includes the VIP remix for the dancefloor ravers as well as a few other specials not on the album which is out next week!!!

A long time ago i wrote a tune with the Brighton dnb collective The Qemists, thanks to a Ninja Tune hook up. Finally their album ‘Join The Q‘ is finished and set for release this year featuring Wiley, Beardyman, Zoe Devlin, Mike Patton and little old me plus some banging beats n bass! First single is gonna be our collab ‘On the run‘, im mad excited as not only is there gonna be a video for the track (you know i loves the camera!!) but i”ll also be starting to rehearse down n Brighton with the Qemists alongside MC ID as part of their live show in a few weeks! After seeing Pendulum tear it up @ Origin in Perth im really keen to see how this live set up will work out. Im learning lyrics etc for all singing parts on the album as i type, its so much fun! Will keep you posted with gig dates which are coming up as soon as February, also theres rumours of a Japan tour in March, all dates will be listed on Events section in sidebar.
