Meeting new people means seeing new things, the past weekend i definately did alot of the first and today catching up with them all im doin the latter. The fabulous Sera, from Shibuyas Rock Bar posted a lovely video about le weekend featuring 5yr old Wesley singing the Hokey Pokey, adorable…however i then found a host of mini guitar player videos which included little Wesley on guitar singing the Folsom Prison Blues! New N.E.R.D – Soldier
Thanks to Bapenerd for the link to this performance from N.E.R.D live on Jimmy Falon. Im not really feeling the song bar the chorus im guessin with Santogold? After Snoop Dogg jumping on the indian dubstep train its hard to not see this as another attempt to cash in on a UK style that is being represented quite credibly else where. Kid British spring to mind when listening to Soldier and that whole London is cool for being punk/ska chic is blatently being referenced….. the band is tight but what do you expect from the Roots….overall im thinking its no ‘Everyone Nose‘ but interesting enough for song of the day….enjoy!

My sister and niece are at mine for the weekend, its a nice feeling having the house full of family! One of the best things about hanging out with my niece is getting the heads up on an age bracket I left a long time ago (she’s 12 in November!). Example, in the back of the car today she switched me on to the some next brand of Skittles, that are a sweety taste challenge, I love puzzles!! So here’s the deal all the colours have swapped flavours, so simple but effective…obviously when challenged to guess what flavour each colour has swapped, I got it right first time (original skittles eater!!!). Never had as much fun with a bag of sweets in me life…oh except this one time….ehem, meanwhile go and skittle yourself at the brand new website that mentions nothing of this taste sensation but has a lot of fun things to get involved with,check out what i did in the video above…
Lily reckons ‘Everybody’s At It’
Speak for yourself young lady. The princess of UK pop, Lily Allen and the voice of a Jennaration is back with a new single from her second album. Tracks have already been up on her myspace but today we got the full first finished release. An interesting ditty ode to the fact that every body is apparently on it..i think she was or had been around the time of the vocal session…Nothing surprising really seeing as that is the way to sell records these days, plus she writes autobiographically so what else can be expected. For me its not as catchy as her old hits, but the press are calling it an album about integrity so its sure to go straight to the top of the charts for chrimbo, expect to hear it at all your offices do’s…cringing at thought of sly nose tap dance moves around the handbags! Please drop kick me if you see me dancing to this at any festive parties…in fact please drop kick me if you see me going to any parties that would play this.
