a song for my mum
I wrote this song for my mum, the strongest woman i knew throughout my teenage years. Originally the backing track was more dirty, early hacienda style and it was that which evoked the memories which helped me to create this top line and lyric. Some of you might have heard it as it was released last October on Nocturnal Groove, funny i never knew that..anyways the original demo is after the jump for, enjoy!
reloading the reload
Back in April i had an amazing night down on the South bank in London at Raj Reload performing with The Engine-Earz Experiment. Here is what has to be one of my favorite performances so far of the track Kali-Yuga with the awesome Abi Sampanthan on Veena. More tracks from the show are up online feat Sam from Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, Lena from Shes is Danger, Sahid Abbis Khan and Nathan Flutebox Lee.
puff puff give, pour me another one
Two phrases i love inspired this weeks Frontroom Radio. FR05 Smokin & Drinkin is up now at mixcloud and ready for your listening pleasure! Every single track in the hour is either about puffing the good stuff, swilling alcohol, being high or has a connection in the title….All except Bisweed & Spirit included simply for their names! So many tracks i didn’t include leads me to believe that I’ll be making another smokin and drinkin themed selection in my frontroom before the summers out

mum im on dnbtv!
Spent a lovely afternoon a few weeks back in the hallowed halls of Drum & Bass Arena, met a fair few of the office crew who make up the tour de force team (and are all lovely, even the one who doesn’t speak much and is stuck in the dark corner), played a few new tracks and then did a little interview in the park down the road. Twas very nice
Watch my guinness world record attempt for the most amount of words per minute, as i ramble on about my d&b history, collaborations and new album. Oh and i apologize now for the shakey Geordie accent, sorry fam! Big thanks to all the guys at Drum & Bass Arena and HAPPY 100th SHOW for tonight ya’ll

Getting all excited and ready to rock it with Kabuki this weekend and then there was a volcano ? Austrian crew keep ya fingers crossed, cause at the moment no planes are flying from Manchester Airport thanks to Icelands misunderstanding of the request to ’send cash’ (terrible joke there courtesy of @Thebadderman ).
snaps from saturday
Last Saturday i was in London via Reading performing with The Engine-Earz at the Queen Elizabeth Hall as part of the amazing Raj:Reload. The gig absolutely smashed it with the seated venue turning into what can only be called the Queen Elizabeth Dance Hall once E=E was on stage, lol, alot of fun had by all in attendance on the Southbank for some truely inspiring performances. The party carried on until the wee hours of the morning and the lovely Levant/sequester captured some classic moments from backstage and beyond, simply a dope weekend.
sing it like kd lang – konstanz raven(sburg)

Ill never be a comedian, however i make my self laugh which is the most important thing
Finally got my pictures on me mac from 2 weekends ago in Ravensburg, players ville south Germany…and i say that cause its famous for board games, hence a random blue monopoly house on the hill outside of town!

Was a really nice gig at Douala, i even got a stripper stage minus pole and the locals seemed to enjoy the performance, two even got me to sign their arms! I danced the rest of the night away in the back room with a Lemmy lookalike who’s worked at the club for 14 years, his English was as good as my German (next to none) but we giggled so much about nothing in particular til Lars started dropping the dubstep and I retired to the dj booth for some private skanking, not long after that Panda was looking a little fragile, so i had to take him back to the hotel, ready for the trip over Lake Konstanz back to Zurich in the following hours. The gig, the trip, the people were lovely, see for ya self ….
