Manchester is repping pretty hard right now, lots of artists making some BIG moves and GREAT music, STANDARD 
So Mondays are now OFFICIALLY dedicated to all things musical from my city. First up on my magical Manc melody tour is the ever troublesome but always lovable Skittles with his new single Tip-i-cal-ly from the forthcoming album ‘Poor with £100 trainers’ if the title hasn’t got you wanting more already then maybe 2010′s free download of the pre:P will get you salivating for the album which drops this year! Had to give this a spin today after hearing another dastardly duo track kick off Benji Bs show on 1xtra last night, its just perfect sunshine music. If you havent heard this absolute gem from Zed Bias and Omar prepare to have your ears audibly seduced. Favorites so far are Stagnant & Troglodytes, but why they no in 320???? lol Feeling better about my purchase via the exclusive site on music glue though all proceeds of the album go to ‘STEP UP’ the fair trade organic activist clothing company, so its a solid green purchase all round

Aprils nearly here and bringing with it showers, sun (please) and the release of Roskas‘ album ‘Roska’. My brother from another mother Mr Miller showed me the album promo video yesterday created by the incredibly talented Monsta Art, literally comic genius, in fact if you don’t laugh at the birds Squark then i think you might be a bit dead inside.

The Age Of Understatement – OMG
Bought a couple of CDs in the airport on route to OZ, Robin Thicke, Sam Sparro and The Shadow Puppets which i have just opened and put on the player dans mon hotel chambre…nearly shit a brick though when i seen my friends name on the inside credits…Produced by James Ford, who i used to jam with in King Rib!! Omg your smacking it like in every alternative genre, reppin the Manc student connection it was always obvious he was gonna be massive

The worlds first!
Passed thru YoYo’s last night (I know I’m sad get over it!) to catch a friends set. Wasn’t gonna stay long but of course that didn’t happen, which was fun cause I met a whole heap of people and encountered a world first! Smokin outside the club Jamal, a tall ludacris lookalike in a safety pin clad leather jacket (dope!), introduced himself to me. Promoting his band True Ingredients and their debut album Prepare and Assemble he presented me with a gift, the worlds first album released on a pair of shades!!! Unfortunately there wasn’t a built in mp3 player on the specks, just a code on the arm which u can enter online for a free download…fortunately their not a bad pair of shades and I got to pick from a range of colours. Haven’t downloaded music yet but I hope it’s as impressive as the sales pitch!
