snooch to tha nooch!

Jay & Silent Bob aka Jason Mewes & Kevin Smith are getting old like most of us. However unlike most of us these two are talking about it every week via their podcast on the Smodcast network and it is a work of live genius! Created as an intervention for Jasons real life drug addictions this weekly dose of personal back stories, slanted social commentary and belly laughs has been keeping me well entertained since its launch in summer. Perfect company for cooking in the kitchen and long journeys which is what the holiday season is full of right? So now is the best time to download all the episodes via Itunes or whatever, load up your portable player and catch up, be prepared to look like a crazy person laughing out loud on public transport snooches!!

tonight in south london…

dnb awards

There will be a mugging! Only joking, i expect the snow is keeping crime to a minimum so your all safe so why not venture into the wilds of Clapham for the DNB TV Awards! Im not nominated but i will be schmoozing with the nominees before and after my performance at the event down at the Clapham Grand later on. Will you be there or a snowed in square, tickets are still available make your self useful ;)

so many films so little time

Vampires suck

Over the past 2 weeks i have watched a considerable amount of films, travelling an all you kinda clock up the movie hours. To be honest i watch a lot of films in general when i cant sleep wont sleep much like last night or this morning or whenever it was i woke up and couldnt get back to sleep and found myself watching Vampires Suck, it being the only thing left on my hard drive i hadnt seen. For those that dont know its a parody of the Twilight films, maybe came out this year, i dont know, nor do i recall why its on my hard drive but any ways… (more…)

my plane song

Im back in the UK after a truely inspiring tour around South America which i think just might be my favorite continent. Obviously it was hot over there, t-shirts vest and shorts my main day wear for the past 10 days….hot as well were the men, oh if only i’d dipped my biscuit in the wonder of it all. How fitting then that this song came on my ipod en route home and stayed there on loop whilst i snoozed sandwiched between  Russian holiday makers on an Air France flight back to winter….

hurt less @ caja de ritmos

Wow you lot like to make memories dont ya? Found so many of videos from the tour so far, big shouts to all who’ve been down to the gigs seriously have had the most amount of fun performing for ya’ll. Heres the final song from the Santiago show, which by the way is my new favourite place i soooo wanna retire there when im old and grey and of course have married a hot Chilean…..ehem ;) Thanks to BassCode TV for posting this little reminder and heres hoping to do it all again, just a little bit different next year :P

subgrave sauna!

Little sneaky peak at want went on in the sweat box also known as K Club in Sao Paulo, seriously it was the hottest i’ve ever been on stage….dont let the fan fool you it was spitting out hot air, next time i suggest a pool party in bikinis and obviously without the pool!!!!! Big shouts to the crowd who were amazing and of course, DJ Andy for getting me over there and showing me the real Sao Paulo and all the Subgrave crew, cant wait to come back :)

my dancing partner & dj die

Dj Die en Chile from Pablo Lobos on Vimeo.

Found this lovely video on Vimeo from the fellas in Santiago, featurng Dj Die and my Zumba raving partner in Chile (he’s the guy in the white tshirt, aaaaahhh you the bomb and im drinking my wine as i type…perfecto amigo ;p) Hopefully will get to see some footage from last Fridays gig soon, in the meantime this is a nice lickle reminder of a few new faces n places i’ve grown fond of this tour :)

south america so far….

Maracoy - beach & beer

Im knackered but wide awake with nervous energy, kinda how i’ve been feeling since landing on this awesome continent Monday morning. Straight to the beach with Omar from the airport through the worl of Caracas traffic via Valencia to make my yearly pilgrimage to Maracoy where one day i hope to own a house with a boat, (somewhere in the distance of the above picture) your all welcome to visit and we can spend the days cruising round the islands stopping off at the most secluded beaches eating areapas with cheese and drinking beer in the sun! BLISS just remember the mosi repellant and rizla! (more…)

long distance lover

ohmibod

According to the Babelands Briefs email i found in my inbox this morning, the above is better than chocolate and the answer to a sizzling long distance romance. Personally this news has come a little to late in the day however it seems you can hook this up to your Skype and it will react to the sound of your lovers voice, you can also plug it into your music player to be fondled by the bass n drums in ya playlist, ha haha. This is a feature i’ve heard of before, so i dont know why the whole  addition of its Skype compatibility makes me feel uncomfortable about the whole thing….any one out there agree/disagree, gonna get it/already has it to end the long distance agony?

catching up on music

Spending some of my halloween sunday catching up on soundcloud, loving this Mickey Smiley re-edit from Mr Johnny Miller, nice chilled tune on theme for the afternoon. Another fav after the jump is a mix from DJ Akira Ishi at the Worldwide Showcase in Tokyo, best thing is both are available to download for free :)

nah man, i havent finished…

Sesame Street had the right idea teaching with music its fun much like this video which is most helpful as it teaches you German. Handy when like me your living in Berlin for a month…Its also highly appropriate as i’ve been the last one one on the dance floor at a few nights this week, slurring loudly ‘nah man, i dont want to go i havent finished dancing’! SHouts to JeSuS for the link, enjoy ;)

a wilde night in wurzburg!

Kim WIlde Live in the 2010

Kim Wilde is alive and singing in Wurzburg at the age of 40 something, well at least last saturday she was to over 4 thousand people…a crowd somewhat bigger than mine at the Soulmotion party downstairs in the Posthalle, however the dnb crowd had WAY more taste! My first time in the north of the south of Germany was marred by a bout of food poisoning, so although the gig went well, the party was fun and the crowd enjoyed it, i didnt drink or get involved with the dancefloor in anyway after my performance, which is not how i like to get down.
