Jay & Silent Bob aka Jason Mewes & Kevin Smith are getting old like most of us. However unlike most of us these two are talking about it every week via their podcast on the Smodcast network and it is a work of live genius! Created as an intervention for Jasons real life drug addictions this weekly dose of personal back stories, slanted social commentary and belly laughs has been keeping me well entertained since its launch in summer. Perfect company for cooking in the kitchen and long journeys which is what the holiday season is full of right? So now is the best time to download all the episodes via Itunes or whatever, load up your portable player and catch up, be prepared to look like a crazy person laughing out loud on public transport snooches!!
YOU DONT LOVE ME and suck because of it….. Wonderful feeling on christmas day thanks to the fabulous Edwards family making me very at home in the countryside however my boxing day blues is slowly setting in as i survey the presents i received this year. Not that im a materialist or was expecting a bounty of booty however its clear you (Santa) dont love me as i didnt even get a whiff of any of my requested gifts. World Peace, free education, a puppy and an Ipad. One out of 4 i could of taken but non?!?! Oh Santa you cruel and twisted figment of Coca Colas imagination, i hope you catch malaria on your holidays and mrs claus doesnt give you any for a year.
Finally a reason to like Lauren. Yes yes yes yes yes! Homewrecker is gonna get served up for Xmas dinner, purrfect! #fb
Annoying but not at all usual, sudden and quite unexplained, embarrassing in public and highly inconvenient at the departure gate…
Oh what fun Foo Magazine, Dub Police, myself and all the rest had in Bristol on Sunday, shooting the video to Flood Of Emotion by D1 & me. Yes it was bitterly cold and half of my day was spent getting slapped in the face but all in all it was oh so much fun, huge thanks to everyone involved for the precision excecution and endless amount of jokes…nothing to be repeated here, just a few snaps from a successful sunday ACTION!
For Northerners who appreciate good script writing.
For Regionalists that dont
Every time im at my sisters we always have a time travel session usually back to the late 80′s early 90′s, this evening is no different. Big tunes getting drawn in the kitchen and old skool steps getting thrown down on the linoleum! What you know bout Joyce Sims?
Ok TV is the devil i know this but my question is does it count when you watch it at your own leisure on the internet and not at scheduled times? Im saying no it doesnt and thats why im about to gush over 2 new programmes that defo deserve a mention. First up The Walking Dead, Zombie drama series set in the US but featuring UK actors, is that a tax break? Whatever im feeling it immensely, the Zombies are to my liking they fit the handbook rule of the walking dead, no intelligence and slightly slow on their feet but fantastically gruesome.
I have to give my Lady Lina ultimate props for this post as it was her good self that put me onto David Sedaris. Back in Berlin during one of our many sessions she lent me his book Holidays on Ice which had me laughing out loud on public transport, simply genius observations perfect for the festive season! As soon as i had finished i wanted more and headed to the nearest book shop to get my fix, ’When your engulfed in flames‘ was even better than the first and again i LOL’d my ass off all over South America usually at 36,000 ft. Over the past 2 weeks i have watched a considerable amount of films, travelling an all you kinda clock up the movie hours. To be honest i watch a lot of films in general when i cant sleep wont sleep much like last night or this morning or whenever it was i woke up and couldnt get back to sleep and found myself watching Vampires Suck, it being the only thing left on my hard drive i hadnt seen. For those that dont know its a parody of the Twilight films, maybe came out this year, i dont know, nor do i recall why its on my hard drive but any ways… (more…)
One thing that always baffles me about gigs i do is the amount of pictures/videos people look like their taking. What happens to them afterwards, i always wonder, as only a handful trickle down through facebook and the like. In particular my past tour in South America had the most amount of people in all 5 gigs waving cameras in the air (or standing still whilst achieve perfect framing) whilst i was performing…my questions is where did all the evidence go? In particular i request the help of my Santiago homies to find the Photographer (or videographer as he is in the above shot) with the red jumper and black A’s hat in the centre of the above picture, taken by Manuel de Fierro at Caja De Ritmos.. he was taking pictures of me at the sound check and then through out the night, very curious as to what exactly he was doing…. Any way easier to find and with awesome results i must link up the rest of the galleries from the people who took the time to upload their shots of all the action, Fede Welbe @ +160, Black Magic Sounds Venezuela and of course all the Sub Grave Sao Paulo crew
Its cold there, probably colder than it is in Manchester right now but i still miss it and all its little surprises
My worst season of the year, mostly cause its a over hyped heartless feast of commercialism invented by the sugar sweet mixer thats oh so perfect with a rum. No doubt its all about the children but seeing as i dont have any, the Ebeneezer in me just cant help but hatch when confronted with endless buy this to show them you love them adverts EVERYWHERE! Anyhoo not wanting to be a complete grinch seeing as we are finally in the month of December, i thought it fitting to celebrate the first day of this dismal month with a little dnb christmas cheer (as there seems to be such a thing) courtesy of Spor. Yeah who would of thought he was all festive and shiney like a snow frosted bauble!? Oh and to my neighbors who had the full lights and moving reindeers up on the 7th of November, your carbon footprint for the sake of poor local entertainment disgusts me ;P
Oh how i wish someone would have a sick chirspe then maybe a part of me wouldnt be so barren – erm i mean dateless. Anyhoo whilst i wait for the real thing i can get my kicks at the above blog from Saturdays host with the most Check it fo’ yoself before you wreck yo’self fool
Official Video for Shy FX – Raver which features Kano, Donaeo & Roses Gabor is like a UK music ‘Wheres Waldo?‘ just watched it over on Musicologymag.com where they spotted Skream, Benga, Chase & Status, Breakage, Stamina MC, Skibadee, Mz Bratt, Newham Generals, Leo Greenslade, Goldie, Plan B, and Toddla T up in the video. Which means they missed ….. (more…)

Im knackered but wide awake with nervous energy, kinda how i’ve been feeling since landing on this awesome continent Monday morning. Straight to the beach with Omar from the airport through the worl of Caracas traffic via Valencia to make my yearly pilgrimage to Maracoy where one day i hope to own a house with a boat, (somewhere in the distance of the above picture) your all welcome to visit and we can spend the days cruising round the islands stopping off at the most secluded beaches eating areapas with cheese and drinking beer in the sun! BLISS just remember the mosi repellant and rizla! (more…)
According to the Babelands Briefs email i found in my inbox this morning, the above is better than chocolate and the answer to a sizzling long distance romance. Personally this news has come a little to late in the day however it seems you can hook this up to your Skype and it will react to the sound of your lovers voice, you can also plug it into your music player to be fondled by the bass n drums in ya playlist, ha haha. This is a feature i’ve heard of before, so i dont know why the whole addition of its Skype compatibility makes me feel uncomfortable about the whole thing….any one out there agree/disagree, gonna get it/already has it to end the long distance agony?
60,000 people, 400 acts in just one day. The Belgians don’t do things by half! Laundry Day at the beginning of September was the perfect way to kick off a month of adventures, all thanks to the terrific two Murdock & Netsky for getting me over there again, was a pleasure and always a joy!
