A huge thanks to Chimp Magazine for two very fun experiences this month, my first front cover on their bestselling Manchester whats on guide and my first time reaching for a magazine off the top shelf. Yes thats right my face right next to someones mum holding her very ample breasts, like two raw turkeys savagely against her chest. I dont know why Etchells figured this was top shelf material but either way im thankful for the experience and for such a lovely interview, Seamus thank you very much, another reason im back blogging for the time being

Euro-cultured this weekend in Manchester has as per usual a MASSIVE line-up blaring quality music rain or shine all thru the bank holiday. Looking forward to seeing the return of Jehst (who is not my postman, gutted) at Hit n Run on Monday but most excited bout the first live performance from Sleeping Giants aka Zed Bias, Fallacy & Rodney P BLAOW!!! So what started on Thursday as a dull twinge has developed over the weekend into a left leg spasm inducing almighty back pain. I have been advised to do next to nothing for a day or two, which of course i intially ignored due to being halfway through moving into a studio and decorating my bedroom. Then at precisely 11.36 this morning whilst bending down to screw together my bed post and base together, what can only be described as a triillion ameoba sized evil dwarfs stabbed me from the inside out using plastic forks and electric tasers…i have never felt such pain even though im sure theres worse, which in no way i would like to experience. Im currently lying as instructed on my side (legs slighty bent as above) whilst cursing myself for not listening and consoling myself with Ikea cinnamon buns, Words with Friends (hit me up JennaralG for a match) and Hot Sauce Committee Part 2

Ok so even though this picture was took outside Asda in Hulme yesterday morning, Bin Laden is dead and swimming with the fishes and ok i suppose its a great day for those that said they were gonna catch him 10 years ago but people dancing on the streets at Ground Zero and in Washington is ridiculously misguided in my humble opinion. In fact its entirely insulting to think people whose families were torn apart by the horrific events of 7.11 and the ensuing wars in the middle east are now at peace due to one mans cloaked execution and burial at sea. Regardless whether he’s really dead or not, the US government have never proved that he was directly responsible nor have they investigated anyone else over 2001s’ mass murders on American soil. With no clear and solid evidence, with no open and fair trial of the accused is everyone really satisfied with this outcome?
The facebook backlash has been hilarious and as always on point (see above), the sad thing is if so many of us think and feel this way how can the powers that be still get away with it?

So im gonna head on over to Moho Live on Saturday night and invade their show, or maybe just down their rider cause its been WAY TO LONG since i seen these guys. I love me an action movie, Jason Statham & Ben Foster so hallelujah that today The Mechanic is released! Funnily i havent seen it yet (im usually two steps ahead me hearties) however it has to be awesome regardless of the run of the mill trailer (above). Statham has paid his dues in this genre not one film has disappointed action wise though script, storyline and casting have never all hit as hard as he can however The Mechanic (terrible name) has to be his first all rounder, right? Ben Foster who is not known for appearing in shitty movies and Donald Sutherland who despite Virus is still a bad man make up a pretty strong cast! Looking forward to my first cinema visit in a while to check this out over the weekend…anyone with me, i have no shame going alone!

Lately i cant help but take photos with the black and white function on my camera, even in the most modern of settings i love the way it turns any scene into a 40′s snap shot, timeless and quite genius. (my snaps are in the Flickr photos top left in sidebar)Watching The Dreamers last night i made the link between the recent hue of my snaps and my Brassai obsession which began about this time last year. Wishing i lived when he did in Paris armed with a fierce set of post war suspenders and a camera. Wonderful feeling on christmas day thanks to the fabulous Edwards family making me very at home in the countryside however my boxing day blues is slowly setting in as i survey the presents i received this year. Not that im a materialist or was expecting a bounty of booty however its clear you (Santa) dont love me as i didnt even get a whiff of any of my requested gifts. World Peace, free education, a puppy and an Ipad. One out of 4 i could of taken but non?!?! Oh Santa you cruel and twisted figment of Coca Colas imagination, i hope you catch malaria on your holidays and mrs claus doesnt give you any for a year.

Oh what fun Foo Magazine, Dub Police, myself and all the rest had in Bristol on Sunday, shooting the video to Flood Of Emotion by D1 & me.
