my full frontal….
A huge thanks to Chimp Magazine for two very fun experiences this month, my first front cover on their bestselling Manchester whats on guide and my first time reaching for a magazine off the top shelf. Yes thats right my face right next to someones mum holding her very ample breasts, like two raw turkeys savagely against her chest. I dont know why Etchells figured this was top shelf material but either way im thankful for the experience and for such a lovely interview, Seamus thank you very much, another reason im back blogging for the time being
The magazine is out now in well stocked newsagents in the manny area, if its not at the counter look on the top shelf ;P
neon video
Finally its here, i say finally because it took more than once to get this right. Big thanks to Andy Hylton and the crew for this little slice of a Neon night
The Lazy Blogger
Yeah thats me, its been way too long and im doubting theres even one person left reading this because of my utter slackness but im not gonna lie its been a hard, mad year and its made me very lazy in terms of blogging. So much to catch up on…some might say even too much so im not gonna back track too much, more try to push things forward
Right now im in my kitchen still suffering from jet lag after an awesome week in LA. Big shouts to the Winter Fresh Crew for getting me over there and to all the faces that took me places, i particularly enjoyed driving on the wrong side of the road for the first time…not as scary as i thought it would be thanks to the perfect soundtrack provided by Backspin radio, literally every song you want to hear about Cali/LA when your drivin through it
Speaking of scary no doubt alot of you will have witnessed Strategy’s Voodoo priest get up for the terror dome anthem from DubPhisix, Skeptical & himself ‘Marka‘. Absolute salute to the Manc contingency on this one, the video which is already over 100,000 views on the tube is like an excerpt from a movie i wouldnt watch alone. Nice to see alot of support for this track which no doubt will be smacking a speaker system near you over the festive period!
In closing i obviously have to direct anyone in the Manchester area towards The Ritz tomorrow night (Monday) for Hit n Run vs Riot Jazz. Ill be jumping on for a few tunes with the RJ Brass Band ad mist a heavy line up as always ft Silkie, Drumagik and more
See you there or back on here now im not being so lazy
girl talk – shopping!
Thanks so much to my tights twin Hannah from Oxford for posting this pic of us last night @ The Cellar, was lovely chatting with you and all the other friendly people in there
The hot topic of conversation in the powder room was of course fashion and as promised people here are the links for the tee above by Married To The Mob and those Leopard Lips
beware, sleeping giants!
Euro-cultured this weekend in Manchester has as per usual a MASSIVE line-up blaring quality music rain or shine all thru the bank holiday. Looking forward to seeing the return of Jehst (who is not my postman, gutted) at Hit n Run on Monday but most excited bout the first live performance from Sleeping Giants aka Zed Bias, Fallacy & Rodney P BLAOW!!! Its a killa combo indeed, the above a little preview featuring the ever illusive Btch Pls
See ya in the city this weekend….
nineteen percent vs beyonce (shes going down!)
I fucking love this lady, she would probably hate me due to my uneducated feminist angst, i love her even more for that!

fukkk offf i was so close…
Played at the 2nd night of Genevas Mapping Festival on Friday @ Zoo, got mad excited when i saw Fukkk Offf on the line up but he wasn’t playing til next week
Have made up for missing him by blastin this tune out far too many times today along with the whole Love me, Hate Me, Kiss Me, Kill me album, stormy sundays are all about this right here!
me & b run the world – yee’ha!

Its no secret that as of late i’d fallen out of love with the child of destiny mostly due to the growing lack of connection between her song lyrics and anyone that actually isnt Beyonce, however im definately feeling the feminist fantasy anthem ‘Run the world (Girls)‘ from her new album Four.
Cant decide if, like D1′s mum im liking it because of the women run tings attitude or because of Ty Hunters fierce fashion styling but whatever shes moving back up my barometer with and i quote “an edgier new sound” (cringe) which you might recognise as Major Lazers ‘Pon de floor’ rhythm and an army of half naked gurls fashioned in Arabian Nights meets Chicago’s Prison Tango costumes, weekend clubbing is about to get dangerous you have been warned fellas

Love love love the hats, the Erickson Beamon headress, her Mary J meets Gareth Pugh two tone eyebrows, the gold fabric rope necklaces on the dancing dudes, the upside down revisited sand dance, i could go on but im already boring myself….
dance download of the week!
Shouts to DJ Chris G dance music writer @ Joe for showing some love for D1 & mines collab Flood of Emotion in his Dance downloads of the week section
Included in the piece is an awesome free download from Wreckage Machinery along with links to some great new releases from Emalkay, Lamb and the Orb ! Thanks for putting us in such nice company mista
google doodles

Love the little animation above the Google search box today, a series of contemporary dances moves by the late Martha Graham pictured above.
ow!

So what started on Thursday as a dull twinge has developed over the weekend into a left leg spasm inducing almighty back pain. I have been advised to do next to nothing for a day or two, which of course i intially ignored due to being halfway through moving into a studio and decorating my bedroom. Then at precisely 11.36 this morning whilst bending down to screw together my bed post and base together, what can only be described as a triillion ameoba sized evil dwarfs stabbed me from the inside out using plastic forks and electric tasers…i have never felt such pain even though im sure theres worse, which in no way i would like to experience. Im currently lying as instructed on my side (legs slighty bent as above) whilst cursing myself for not listening and consoling myself with Ikea cinnamon buns, Words with Friends (hit me up JennaralG for a match) and Hot Sauce Committee Part 2

underground sticker-ing
The above has made me smile more times than i care to mention this week. An awesome project which needs no explanation really thanks to its ‘does what it says on the tin’ namesake, check out the site by clicking the pic above, browse the photos and keep your eyes open next time your on the tube in Laaaan Daaan Taan

chilli grill vs nandos – its beef
Manchester residents might be all to familiar with Fallowfields Chilli Grill, not so familiar however with the Chilli Grillionaire. Get acquainted amidst the beef that is the fallowfield chicken wars, Chilli if you please…
a royal l’andri
Honestly i have no idea what this is all about….however what i do know is that it stars Europes number one party girl on the underground (seriously shes everywhere!) Pippi Eluschka and her fabulous friends hangin in a Laundry Mat, seriously put a smile on my face this arvo….my laundry is so dirty
if it ain’t broken, today i ain’t listening
Ballin on a Budget was crazy last night big shout to the Broke n £nglish boys n crew for a right royal knees up! Still in the dancing mood im blasting out the Deep Down & Broken podcast (thank you Nicola!) why oh why are there only 4 of them? Anyways whilst 2 stepping i found this song which has to be the perfect companion for my long lost favourite Tequila 1800. Drink it warm, in the sun with this on the speakers you’ll be far from wrong

theres a stillness in time
Pulled out Jamiroquais Return Of The Space Cowboy from the CD rack this week and it hasn’t left my stereo since, such perfect music for the glorious weather and it still sounds more than relevant 17 years after its release. Definately my favourite album from Jay Kay and the lads i’d forgotten just how amazing some of the songs are; Half The Man, Mr Moon & Morning Glory!! Do not play these when your alone with me if you dont want me to jump your bones! Far to early (in the UK) for any rumpy pumpy so hows about this little beauty instead, enjoy
