Not a good week for old skool american actors. First Gary Coleman & then Dennis Hopper . Two legends with very different hollywood stories one leaves behind an epic filmography the other an epic catchphrase but both to me are equally unforgettable. Hope their resting in peace up in Hollywood heaven!

Ok i’ve woken up french this morning, im wearing black, being rude and making up my own dialeck du francais, tee hee bon bon. Je pense ( i think) it has something to do with a link i was tweeted this week by London based male slasher Orie. I have no idea who this guy is (his website Bandana-O has nothing but t-shirts on it) or why sacre blur he wanted to send moi a link to his tune up on Youtube called Zonin but he did god bless him le petit follie du jambon and i really couldnt keep this ‘nil pois effort spectacular‘ to myself. Et Voila 100% effort 5% audible enjoyment c’est Orie‘blah avec Zonin…its kind of like a Andre 3000 on Pink and Blue in alot of pain, mixed with my niece at 5 years old repeating made up lyrics for an hour and that dude off youtube who falls out of his underwear on the bed and has shots of him singing dans la douche (any advances?)! ‘shock’ dancer wins dance competition
I abhor this countrys media why should i care that Lewis Hamiltons objectified human trophy (Nicole She’s-a-zinger-burger) just won some Tv show in AMerica, not only that what is the point of having a dancer compete against non dancers in a dancing competition, unless the dancer has no limbs its kind of an unfair advantage right? In closing is it such international news that a dancer won a dance competition? I dont think so now get off my telly!
Oh and while we’re on the subject of dancers, whoever gave that guy from Pineapple Studios airtime should be slapped for fuelling draconian tv stereo typing. He may be nice to animals, give to charity and be there for his friends however the brief 20secs of him i caught the other night was horrific!

a song for my mum
I wrote this song for my mum, the strongest woman i knew throughout my teenage years. Originally the backing track was more dirty, early hacienda style and it was that which evoked the memories which helped me to create this top line and lyric. Some of you might have heard it as it was released last October on Nocturnal Groove, funny i never knew that..anyways the original demo is after the jump for, enjoy!

Stayed up way to late last night/this morning watching The Wiz, probably the best musical made ever. If you have never heard of it quick story its Wizard of Oz with Michael Jackson as the Scarecrow, Diana Ross as Dorothy, Richard Pryor as The Wizard and Quincey Jones on Musical Production. CLASSIC in other words anyways there are too many amazing songs from this film, i’ve been trying all morning to pick just one to blog…it is impossible. The evil Evalines No Bad News is literally my morning soundtrack, Mean Old Lion is my jungle warrior stance, Ease on down the Road, Colour Gold (sampled by Ebony Bones ) and the rest are all equally as good as each other….ooooo except Lena Horne‘s song thats the only one i would fast forward but never did out of sheer respect and awe at the cabbage patch kids in the background were way to cute!!… i could go on and on and on about this movie the costumes, the performances, the set design but i wont ill just say if you have kids and they haven’t seen this your a bad parent, if you have seen it and think its shit, you have no taste. Have a nice day now

Ok so i missed Big Poppas birthday this week but im not gonna forget the yellow legend of entertainment. On this day in 1980 God or rather Namco created released the infamous arcade game PAC MAN an icon from the 1980′s pop culture. My sister had the quite savvy (for ’86) handheld version which we would play under the covers lit by the green screen after lights out Im saluting this auspicious day by downloading the Iphone app, which is quite tame compared to this bloke….
im in a rock n roll band
Been loving BBC2′s series investigating what makes the perfect rock n roll band, managed to catch the Drummers episode last night was truely epic (Ginger Baker lol) and my favourite so far. Obviously they talk alot about John Bonham (he’s the drummers drummer innit) and so shows the Led Zeppelin concert at the O2 where his son played, ah i didn’t have a ticket but was outside trying to hear something, we didn’t lol. Oh and im now very jealous of anyone that got to see Motely Crue live…..dam who flys a drum kit out into the audience nowadays? Whole series so far is up on Iplayer, which is my new best friend….sad i know!
