So last week the great no show Ghostface saga was the hot news. Riot Jazz booked him and then him and his DJ go and get themselves arrested at Heathrow. Kind of big news i thought seeing as he’s a Wu member and his new album is out on the 16th, however now where on the internet or in the black music media was this covered apart from on the facebook event page and my blog…. Flattering or obvious then that Nah Right link my blog story to his arrest as an unconfirmed report!! Tee hee, unconfirmed!?! It makes me sound like a gossip…me an idle gossip……really i never heard such nonsense. the report came straight from the promoter and was then backed up by his agent who i heard from eventually at the end of the week…im a broadcaster not a gossip, i thank you (and Nelliarmous for the contact!

BBC2 Blast Film Festival
Been doing a bit of presenting for BBC Blast Film Festival alongside Radio 1′s film expert James King. Was a mad experience my first time having to switch cameras mid sentence…chat show host vibes lol!! I miss blogging!
All over the show, I have been this past week. London, Manchester, Vienna back to London then back to Manchester! Hotel, motels and the Holiday Inn but non of them had free wifi and I am so over paying through the nose for Internet. BT have the cheek to charge £6 for an hour!!!!! WTF it’s four more pounds for the full 24, how the hell did they figure that out? Anyways add to the fact that outside the uk iphone data roaming requires a mortgage and u van understand why there’s been no blogging action. I missed it, telling all to no one in particular like they care!!! Back in manny and making the most of the iPhone wordpress app, I’m writing this in the dentist

Human or Dancer?
WTF is that new Killers song about? I keep hearing it everywhere, ok i haven’t looked up the lyrics or seen the video (until findin it for this post!) but that shouldn’t have to explain a song… I don’t mind an abstract painting but abstract lyrics? Surely thats just someone pretending to be clever and wanting to hear the sound of there own voice… Isn’t a dancer human? If you dance do you loose all human traits or humanity making you a non human? Is he referring to a dancer being led by a song and a human being led by themselves? Does that make dancer a dirty word? Can you see how perplexed i am about this mad arse tune!!!
Keaveny x Cotton & Yates
Driving back from the train station this morning tuned into 6Music awaiting my daily dose of the Lamb, i caught the end of Shaun Keavenys breakfast show. As any morning show goes him and his team were talking about the relevant news stories, todays being the return of Top of The Pops. Fearne Cotton & Reggie Yates will be presenting, duh well who else and Shaun seemed to agree, or did he…The link lasted 4minutes and was made up of him and his side-kick kind of taking the very highbrow piss out of Radio 1′s chart show’s duo. Comments such as ‘Fearne can turn her hand to anything, as long as theres an auto-cue’ and ‘Reggie would be very convincing on Newsnight‘ had my mouth wide open and ok ill admit i did giggle a little at the audacity but still beeb dissin beeb, clever marketing if you ask me. Listen back to todays show, the link was before Dara O’briens interview which made me giggle a lot and see what you think. Tongue or Cheek!! lol
Jenna G x Top Nine Bboys
Yesterday i was hanging with the Bboy World Champions ‘Top Nine‘ all the way from Russia courtesy of BBC Blast ‘Behind the Scenes’. They were in London to perform their brand new show Accents, at Riverside Studios this evening. Wow, this show is amazing, its tells the history of music through dance, break dancing and b-boying to be precise. Chatting with the lads before and after their performance it was obvious how much passion they have for what they do, regardless of not being able to speak english very well the interviews were really engaging and taught me a hell of a lot interms of technique…i can lead anyone down the verbal path to create specific content for a show, however trying to do this without english as a common language was a challenge…Plus sides…the accent was sex in audio, seriously i think i need to marry a Russian I digress the crew are mad talented, having choreographed, scored and managed the whole fabulous performance themselves, taking influences from areas very much outside of the Bboying genre. My only criticism was that it was way too short, i could have watched them dance all night. Shouts to the Behind the Scenes crew, make-up master Mayu and of course the whole Top Nine crew….Fly Boy Robin (should have been fine boy!), Kosto (number one b-boy), Wolt (what a body), Komar (Skinnymans Russian double), Flying Buddah (12 packed shorty), Simpson (natural blonde), Rezky (in spirit) and Tony Rock (the mouth). Thanks for a dope day and the lil peace of Russia you brought with ya…didn’t they hear what happened to Ghostface LOL!!! Looking forward to getting my drink on amongst other thing with em next time im in St Petersburg! Watch out for the Behind the Scenes with Top Nine on BBC Blast website in the new year!

I love the Militant Black man…not all of them only the one on the TV show Balls of Steel! Holed up in a hotel room and its back on CH4, yay a brand new series and theres no change he is still hilarious. Blackpool, a place where they go and drown black folks! Isle of Wight, an island just for white people on which to vacate….Cancun!?! LMAO oh shit this is like the only thing on the show i laugh at the rest is pish! Heres this weeks episode unbeddable thx to nazitube. The clips above are apparently his best…have to agree, third one in Free Ho’s!! Classic

It was a year ago next week that i was at Claridges in London for the Fred Claus press junket. I never seen the movie, it looked terrible Vince Vaughn starred as the trouble some brother of one my favourite actors Paul Giamatti who played Santa Claus (sooooooo beneath him). It also had Ludacris as a elf and the kid from Idlewild in it, hence 1X’s interest. Anyways I didn’t pull the short straw of interviewing Vince (who incidentally got paid £20 million for the role), so i couldn’t tell you how genuine he is. Im thinking though its not that genuine thanks to his return in another crappy movie this season, Four Christmas’s. Starring Reese (cheesy chick flick don) Witherspoon, Jon Voight and some others it tells the tale of a couple spending christmas with their divorced parents…Hollywood reality YAWN, wonder how much they all got paid for this monstrosity. Go see at your peril

So allegedly Ghostface is currently playing a packed out private show in Heathrow’s Police Station this evening, or his management have gone all out on the excuse. Manchesters appearance is now cancelled due to his DJ being stopped with illegal contraband on their way into the UK from Paris… To make matters worse when being questioned it came to light Mr Killah himself has a warrant for outstanding child payments in the USA…. WTF it doesn’t make sense that if he owes money they are stopping him making any…also i didn’t realise outstanding CSA payments can stop you travelling internationally?? Thank god i don’t owe money to them, yet another bonus for keeping my legs closed and being a woman! Anyways show must go on this evening and as gutted as i am to not be seeing one of my fav Wu Bangers i am still totally ready to rip up the stage in a dnb stylee longside 12 brass players blowing their horns!! Should be a pretty dope show as well, with all the extra time who knows what can happen!!

OMG GHOSTFACE IS IN TOWN TODAY!! Mad excited as its gonna be a heavy show down at Moho, only 200 tickets left on the door so if your not already down i suggest you put it in your list of things to do for today… Special guests include ME!! First time with the Riot Jazz boys doing In Love!! I really cant wait for rehearsal tomorrow to hear how the hell this is gonna go down!! So chuffed they asked me to do this, they sound hot as hell live and are safe as houses, if it all goes well no doubt they’ll be more live collabs on the horizon Its Wu m*******a, comin thru m*******a!!

Wow, im in awe and inspired to get out my felt tips and biros…such beautiful sketch work, looks kidlike at times and Gaudi-esque at others, amazing! Why can’t we have a nice quiet night in?
What is it with me nowadays? Whenever i have a female accomplice a quiet night in, in Manchester rolls raucously into the morning… Sundays plan of dressing up as Pirates and heading to the Alton Towers region fizzled out as we dragged our arses out of bed this evening at 5pm… I was looking forward to it too Instead i very much enjoyed chillin like villians on my sofas watching TV, even if i did have to sit through half hour of Desperate Housewives… God i hate that show, i don’t know why but it just lost its appeal after the first series…much like LOST…whatever happened in the end of that? Is it still going? I digress…the questions should be why must it always turn into a party? Am i just a party girl? Is that a bad thing? Answers so far….i don’t know, seems like it and it depends how you look at it and are defining the term in the previous question…ehem i suppose i should head off to bed now to be serenaded by bolas’ feminine snores

Just call me Lewis Hamilton from Reading to Manchester in 2.5 hours!!! Missed my house so much and was convinced it had been raped and pillaged whilst i was away creating. Had nightmares all week about some chav theif from the Merseybank estate walking around in my gorgeous MOB dunks!! Thank god nothing of the sort happened, feeling relieved, accomplished, kinda sad, a little nostalgic and a bit lonely but this put a smile on my face!

We shoot, we score!!! One and a half days into the second round at Catch 22 studios and theres another banger in the bag Midnight oil was the title i came up with a month ago, but a month on i had no lyrics. It was the snippet above and a smoke with Kabir that brought it all together. Mad happy with the lyric’s which has cemented a theme to carry through the rest of my time here and in turn has inspired lots of different styling ideas for overall album direction, stage wear, press shots etc. Ooo im mad excited, much like i was during the For Lost Friends project….very happy that the music im making is satisfying my soul. Im feeling blood, sweat, guts, tears, scars, horror, wife beaters, red lipstick, ripped cocktail dresses, guitars, oil, guns, metal, huge trees and bass!
